Clarion Center for the Arts is seeking energetic musical theatre teachers to guide students in 2nd-8th grade in their Junior Musical class.
The class meets for two hours a week on Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 and is taught collaboratively with a Director, Musical Director and Choreographer.
We use Music Theatre International's junior musical kits, making it very easy for instructors to follow detailed guidelines for creating a successful production.
Responsibilities include...
Preparing material prior to each rehearsal
Teaching blocking, music or choreography to students at each weekly rehearsal
Coaching kids in musical theatre techniques
Assisting parents with costume and set ideas (parents are responsible for constructing costumes and sets)
Helping during tech rehearsals and performances
Keeping it fun for students!
Teachers should...
Have experience working with kids
Have experience in theatrical productions
Be organized
Be energetic and fun
Compensation ranges between $12-25 an hour based on age and experience.
